09:42 mtj tasty!
09:43 and useful too
09:43 rangi not really, i was using it to learn about the html5 indexdb local storage, so it only refreshes once
09:44 stores all the data locally in a key value store tho
09:45 mtj ok, so add a refresh loop… then useful :)
09:46 kf rangi: cool :)
09:46 mtj kf, im sure eythian's got the beer app sorted, already :)
09:47 kf I am not going to argue with you about that :)
09:51 mtj rangi, try adding a...

09:51 … line to your index.html page
09:52 .. it should force a page refresh, every 60 seconds
09:53 kf cool

09:55 it wont refetch the info from the server
09:56 thats by design
09:56 you dont want an app chewing up your phones traffic

15:48 oleonard Anyone know what's up with that? ^^
15:53 gerundio good afternoon everyone
15:54 I've been debbuging the labels export source code all day and just found why the barcode labels are not being printed for some item
15:54 items ^
15:55 the SQL query: SELECT bi.*, i.*, b.*,br.* FROM items AS i, biblioitems AS bi ,biblio AS b, branches AS br WHERE itemnumber=? AND i.biblioitemnumber=bi.biblioitemnumber AND bi.biblionumber=b.biblionumber;
15:55 isn't returning any results since the homebranch column in the items table is NULL for some items
15:55 how is the homebranch value populated in the items table?
15:56 oleonard Usually it would be added along with the item
15:58 rambutan joined #koha
16:02 gerundio oleonard, I see it in the item edit form
16:02 it being shown inside a div as non editable
16:03 looking into the source code I see a hidden input
16:04 but the value of that input is not set
16:04 oleonard gerundio: homebranch should be editable unless you have some rules which prevent it
16:04 gerundio in my case we only have one branch
16:04 that might explain why it's not editable?
16:04 oleonard Is the correct branch preselected in the item edit form?
16:05 gerundio in the div I see the correct branch name
16:05 but like I said, in the source code I see that the input has no value set
16:06 I'll debug this form to try to see what might be originating this behaviour
16:06 in the meantime, can yout just simulate an item edit on one of your installation and check if that hidden input has a value set?
16:08 btw, this is UNIMARC and the homebranch column is mapped to field 995b
16:09 reiveune bye
16:09 reiveune left #koha
16:10 oleonard gerundio: In your MARC framework is 995b defined as hidden from the MARC editor?
16:15 gerundio yes
16:16 oleonard So it probably shouldn't be.
16:16 Wait, I see why you would have set it--because you have only one branch.
16:16 gerundio I'll change it to see what happens on the edit form anyways
16:18 that fixed it
16:18 the input was replaced with a select
16:18 and the value is now correctly filled in for the only option (branch)
16:19 oleonard I wonder if you can have a hidden field with a default value...
16:21 gerundio have no idea :|
16:22 I have no problem setting hidden = 0
16:22 since there's only one option in the select the librarians won't be able to change it anyways
16:22 but from the usability point of view, I'd say this is not an expected behaviour
16:23 with only one branch set and the subfield set to hidden the value should be properly set
16:23 oleonard I think it is to be expected that a hidden field does not transmit any information with it
16:23 gerundio even more because the branch name shows up correctly
16:24 gaetan_B can anyone tell me in which table permissions are stored ?
16:24 i have one user who is superlibrarian, and user_permissions is empty
16:24 which is puzzling
16:25 oleonard gerundio: It looks like you can hide the field but set a default value. That is probably what you were thinking would happen in your case.
16:25 gerundio: So you could set it to default to your one branch code
16:26 gerundio I'll explore that option oleonard :)
16:28 oleonard gerundio: I believe user_permissions is only used for "sub-permissions" as they appear on member-flags.pl
16:29 asaurat left #koha
16:30 oleonard gerundio: Otherwise you look at the individual borrower record to see what flags are set
16:35 gaetan_B ah alright got it oleonard ;)
16:36 nengard oleonard - your jquery does horrible things to the suggestions page ? http://screencast.com/t/Wv9DHD2VMx  why would that happen?
16:41 oleonard Are you sure it's my fault nengard? :)
16:42 nengard yes :)
16:42 without that jquery that page works
16:42 i removed it and all was well
16:42 gerundio oleonard, user_permissions wasn't for me, right? :)
16:42 oleonard++ thanks for all the help with the homebranch subfield on the items
16:42 nengard actually the reason i asked for your help was cause this line of jquery did the same thing:
16:42 $(#menu a:contains('Fines')).attr('href',$(#menu a:contains('Fines')).attr('href').replace('boraccount.pl','pay.pl'));
16:42 broke the suggestions page
16:42 it makes no sense to me
16:48 oleonard nengard: It's not that it has a problem with the suggestions page, it's that it causes a js error which happens to break the suggestions page among many
16:48 Not sure why though
16:48 nengard hmmm
16:49 oleonard It doesn't do well if the correct link is *not* on the page
16:51 kf bye all :)
16:51 kf left #koha
16:53 gerundio oleonard, FYI, setting the default value on a hidden field accomplish that behaviour

20:22 cait evening drojf :)
20:22 nengard git question ? if I don't want to resolve conflict and want to back out of a commit how do i do that?
20:22 I tried git am --abort
20:22 and tried to check the file out again
20:22 both didn't work
20:23 wizzyrea git reset --hard HEAD^
20:23 ?
20:24 drojf hi cait :)
20:24 nengard i think that might have worked
20:25 OH CRAP
20:25 I see what I did wrong
20:25 um ?
20:25 wizzyrea oh crap?
20:26 nengard sorry - was doing the manual (as you see) and accidentally made changes to the 3.8 manual that were meant for the 3.12 manual
20:26 and then screwed up the 3.10
20:26 anyway - I think I reverted it all, but still checking
20:28 wizzyrea ah
20:28 faq?

20:35 nengard wizzyrea - alright i might need more help
20:35 what does this mean?
20:35 ! [rejected]        manual3.10.x -> manual3.10.x (non-fast-forward)
20:35 error: failed to push some refs to 'gitmaster@git.koha-community.org:kohadocs.git'
20:35 To prevent you from losing history, non-fast-forward updates were rejected
20:35 Merge the remote changes (e.g. 'git pull') before pushing again.  See the
20:35 'Note about fast-forwards' section of 'git push --help' for details.
20:36 wizzyrea hm, I'm still new to pushing - I think that implies that you'd need to pull down the upstream to update your references
20:36 but whether pull is the best way to do that...
20:36 I'm not sure
20:36 nengard hmmm
20:37 well let's see :)
20:38 nope that didn't do it
20:38 wizzyrea if it were me, I'd probably git fetch && git rebase origin, because I often get in trouble with git pull.
20:38 but I think, since you are technically upstream, you don't want to pull down, only push up.
20:38 gah this problem sounds familiar to me.
20:39 nengard Yeah - fetch and rebase didn't do it either
20:39 wizzyrea but I don't remember how I got out of it.
20:39 nengard I've had this problem before - where i broke things
20:39 I might have had to wipe the branch and pull fresh
20:39 wizzyrea that is the nuclear, but ultimately probably effective, option.
20:39 nengard I won't lose anything by doing it - cause the comment was to master and I was just cherry-picking it
20:40 so I'll still have the comment
20:40 commit
20:40 not comment
20:41 wizzyrea yea, then just do that :)
20:41 there is probably a more elegant way out of it, but I don't know it
20:42 cait left #koha
20:42 nengard bingo got it
20:42 I actually did a pull
20:42 but had to do a pull with the branch info
20:42 so
20:42 git pull origin manual3.10.x
20:42 and then I did the cherry-pick
20:42 and pushed
20:42 and it worked
20:43 eythian if you can safely lose local history, reset your branch to match origin (git reset --hard origin/manual3.10.x), if you remove --hard it's safer as it'll leave your changes uncommtted.
20:43 If you don't want to lose local history, you merge.
20:43 nengard i didn't need my local history
20:44 eythian in that case, the reset will leave your local branch looking exactly the same as the upstream branch.
20:45 Basically the error is saying that there's a commit upstream that you don't have here, and so pushing your branch would stomp that.
20:46 you can force it to push by putting a '+' in front of 'origin', however it's best to only do that if you know for sure that's what you want to do, not just to make the error message go away.

22:42 wahanui ...but search.pm is complicated and has been the source of much contention in the wake of KohaCon with BibLibre rewriting it for Solr/Lucene instead of Zebra support....
