00:24 mtj hey team
00:24 paulderscheid[m]: i love the App::perlimports idea ^
05:16 wajasu well, i did the tmpfs /var/cache/pbuilder/build  with koha-dpkg-docker and it seemed to help. 5min to build the image and 8min to build the packages.  definitely less disk IO.

06:41 Joubu @later tell cait you forget the DBIC commit for 35610 - might be the cause of all the failures
06:41 huginn` Joubu: The operation succeeded.
06:42 Joubu heh, you are here! cait, you forgot the DBIC commit for 35610 - might be the cause of all the failures
06:46 cait: I am dealing with it, will push
06:47 cait: done, see last comment on 35610

06:52 dbic
06:52 sorry, I had that only once so far
06:52 mostly system preference updates really
06:52 Joubu: thx for the fix

06:57 Joubu cait: if kohastructure.sql changes, you need to run dbic

08:25 Joubu I missed that, will catch him next week
08:26 the current failures are all related to the "not a tree" bug
08:26 but I bet you saw my comment ;)
08:28 cait not yet, just putting on my RM cape
09:02 marcelr++ lots in queue :)
09:05 paulderscheid[m] morning #koha

10:42 cait hi oleonard - already back from your conf?
10:43 schnydszch Hi! In two weeks (April 19), I will be discussing in our local Koha community "Improving Koha by signing off patches". I remembered, there are simple bugs for signing off, I cannot remember what it is called? Can somebody point me to it? Thanks!
10:43 cait we use the Academy keyword
10:44 but most of those are usually for "writing a patch"
10:44 schnydszch oh thanks cait
10:44 cait if you let us know again a little before the date, I am sure we can mark some inthe Needs SO queue as well
10:46 schnydszch yes cait, the webinar is on the 19th, 8-12 Philippine Standard Time. I will be facilitating the webinar. Hopefully, a lot of our Koha ILS users in the Philippines will be able to follow and sign off patches. So, I am trying to find some bugs that are easy to SO.
10:55 cait we do have the hackfest in Marseille next week
10:55 so there will be a likely a lot of "movement" in bugzilla caused by this
10:55 maybe better to check after
10:56 oleonard Yeah there will probably be people looking for simple signoffs there too
10:56 schnydszch oh that's great. yes, will definitely check. A week after, it will be our group in the Philippines :)
10:56 cait lots to do for RM :)

11:54 cait jenkins almost green, woe
11:54 oleonard AutoSelfCheckID works with self checkin too doesn't it?
11:55 cait hm I am not completely sure
11:55 it work with the buit in checkin in the checkout screens.... but not srue about the separate one
11:58 oleonard I'm trying to reproduce Bug 23102 and I'm failing to do so
11:58 huginn` 04Bug https://bugs.koha-community.or[…]_bug.cgi?id=23102 normal, P5 - low, ---, nick, Needs Signoff , 404 errors on page causes SCI user to be logged out
11:58 cait hm
11:59 could it have been fixed by the work for CSRF I just pushed?
12:01 magnuse looks to me like the SCI "module" doesn't need any login? it just does checkins, without showing any personal info?
12:02 cait hm might be :)
12:03 magnuse but isn't there a permission?
12:03 oleonard magnuse: Not for me. I have to log in whether or not I have AutoSelfCheckID enabled
12:04 magnuse i'm a couple days behind master on ktd
12:04 self_checkin_module
12:04 is the permission
12:06 i have AutoSelfCheckAllowed = don't allow, AutoSelfCheckID + AutoSelfCheckPass empty
12:06 and i can do returns on http://localhost:8080/cgi-bin/[…]a/sci/sci-main.pl with just scanning the barcodes
12:07 oleonard: log into to "self check in" or "self check out"?
12:09 oleonard AutoSelfCheckID works for me with self checkout but I'm forced to log in to do self check-in.
12:17 magnuse ah, to do "self check in", in the "self check out" module?
12:18 cait hm it makes sense, it needs to know "hwere" things are checked in, so probably still needs a staff user
12:18 magnuse: how are your returns recorded then?
12:20 magnuse cait: statistics.branch = CPL. not sure why, though. (that is in the "self check in" module)

12:44 EmmiTakkinen[m]: around?
12:44 EmmiTakkinen[m]: do you have the problem from bug 36313 using ktd? If so, which steps can I use to recreate it?
12:44 huginn` 04Bug https://bugs.koha-community.or[…]_bug.cgi?id=36313 major, P3, ---, koha-bugs, NEW , Check out/ check out leads to error500 in staff interface
12:45 Annelisterman[m] Joubu: I think she left for the week already :)
12:45 Joubu thanks for letting me know, I will let a comment on the bug then
13:23 magnuse does bug 36536 make sense?
13:23 huginn` 04Bug https://bugs.koha-community.or[…]_bug.cgi?id=36536 normal, P5 - low, ---, koha-bugs, NEW , Make REST API's validateUserAndPassword update borrowers.lastseen
13:34 cait magnuse: i'll try to read it later
13:35 bug 33568 incoming
13:35 huginn` 04Bug https://bugs.koha-community.or[…]_bug.cgi?id=33568 enhancement, P5 - low, ---, jonathan.druart, Passed QA , Use the REST API to display items on the biblio detail view
13:42 oleonard Hooray!
13:42 Joubu++
13:43 Joubu thanks for your patience and persistence
13:50 magnuse Joubu++
14:00 oleonard I'm getting "Can't locate object method "new_ill_backend" via package "Koha::Plugin::Com::PTFSEurope::PluginBackend" at /kohadevbox/koha/Koha/Illrequest.pm line 441." when testing Bug 19605
14:00 huginn` 04Bug https://bugs.koha-community.or[…]_bug.cgi?id=19605 enhancement, P5 - low, ---, pedro.amorim, Passed QA , ILL backends should be pluggable through regular Koha plugins
14:00 oleonard Have I missed something?
14:03 PedroAmorim[m] hey, yes
14:03 please use release 2.0.4
14:03 https://github.com/PTFS-Europe[…]leases/tag/v2.0.4
14:03 test plan probably needs to be updated sorry
14:04 oleonard Oh cool thanks, I didn't even think to check for a newer version
14:04 PedroAmorim[m] this was a recent change by Tomas and the plugin needed to be updated
14:06 oleonard: you won't be able to create a request with that version either, I need to submit a new 2.0.5 with the CSRF fixes
14:06 the test plan should work though
14:07 well, nevermind
14:07 7) Notice the request is created successfully.
14:07 will fail =D
14:09 oleonard "Click "+ New ILL request". Notice it lists 'FreeForm' and 'PluginBackend'" ... I don't see this
14:11 Not trying to cause trouble PedroAmorim[m] I'm just excited about this development :)
14:11 PedroAmorim[m] nice! I'm glad to hear it =DD
14:12 have you restarted plack after installing the backend?
14:12 backend->plugin
14:12 oleonard Yes
14:12 PedroAmorim[m] hmm, give me one moment I'll go through the test plan myself shortly
14:13 oleonard Thanks
14:16 Oh never mind PedroAmorim[m] I'd forgotten to switch branches XD
14:16 PedroAmorim[m] =D
14:18 you'll also likely have to switch branches for the FreeForm backend, branch b_36243 if you want to be able to create a request using Freeform (this branch contains the CSRF fixes)
14:18 the CSRF fixes are a bit all over the place now, because they're required for master but not for current versions before master

15:19 cait PedroAmorim[m]: are you still around?
15:20 PedroAmorim[m] \o/
15:21 cait heh
15:21 i am trying to fix the failing test on bug 35392
15:21 huginn` 04Bug https://bugs.koha-community.or[…]_bug.cgi?id=35392 trivial, P5 - low, ---, pedro.amorim, Passed QA , HTML in translatable string
15:21 cait i think it#s just the text
15:21 oh
15:21 i probably need to run the vue build stuff
15:22 PedroAmorim[m] after applying patches yeah I think you need to yarn js:build
15:22 cait yeah and hen run the test :)
15:22 I am on it
15:22 It's always like that... once you have asked...
15:23 yes, all green now, will be pushed
15:28 PedroAmorim[m] nice! =D
15:28 it sure is lol
15:40 cait oook, next push should take care of all 'bug' bugs in the queue for now
15:43 caroline I can't remember what we said about the "release-notes-needed" tag for older versions (23.11). Should I just remove it?
15:44 cait oh good question
15:44 i guess it makes sense - we won't generate notes from it anymore
15:47 caroline same for rel_xx_candidate I guess? Or do you use those for historical purposes?
15:47 e.g. bug 21983
15:47 huginn` 04Bug https://bugs.koha-community.or[…]_bug.cgi?id=21983 blocker, P5 - low, ---, tomascohen, RESOLVED FIXED, Better handling of deleted biblios on ILL requests
15:47 cait no, you can remve if you want
15:48 caroline Ok, I won't go around looking for them, but I'll removed them if I come across them
15:48 I'm looking at the 23.11 db_revs for translations, so i'm looking at a lot of old bugs
15:53 cait )
15:53 :)
15:53 I am trying to figure out some enh, but it's getting a little late here
15:57 oleonard So we're doing automatic formatting of js on commit now? That's going to create a lot of unrelated changes in patches
16:08 cait oh
16:08 oleonard: maybe something for next meeting agenda?
16:08 i thought it was for the vue and some specific files, but it's for all JS?
16:09 oleonard I'm editing global.js in the OPAC and it's getting automatically reformated on commit
16:09 cait hm
16:09 I think people who would know already left
16:09 oleonard I'm fine with it if everyone else is, I'm just not certain there was a discussion about it
16:10 Friday afternoon is not typically productive around here :D
16:10 cait I think several people were working on it, but I realize we should at least inform?
16:10 @later tell Joubu can you please run meeting script?

19:32 JasonGreene[m] may I borrow someone's  "Stage MARC record for import" file?  a small one?  I'm still trying to import ours and all my imports fail.
19:34 cait you can download any record usually
19:34 from a koha katalog - just use the export feature
19:35 JasonGreene[m] Thanks... I'll look there
19:35 cait if you have a login, yo ucan sent yourself a cart - it has the marc file attached
19:44 JasonGreene[m] ok, I exported from... (full message at <https://matrix.org/_matrix/med[…]EhvFlANLWsOfxENvF>)
19:52 yet when I import my files onto "https://koha.adminkuhn.ch/" ... it works.
19:52 Should I build an older version of Koha... if possible?
19:55 milktoast joined #koha
20:10 JasonGreene[m] FYI ... I submitted a bug report
20:10 https://bugs.koha-community.or[…]_bug.cgi?id=36538
20:10 huginn` 04Bug 36538: enhancement, P5 - low, ---, koha-bugs, NEW , Unable to Stage MARC records import
20:29 cait JasonGreene[m]: please try the mailing list first
20:29 Bugzill ais only for bugs - but this is more of a support request
20:30 most likely a configuration or setup issue
20:30 not a lot of people are reading all the bug reports
20:31 the demo installatoin has the latest version, so an older version is probably not goig to solve it
20:31 you don't give a lot of information, which step fails exactly? what settings did you use on import?
20:47 JasonGreene[m] <cait> "Jason Greene: please try the..." <- Thanks... I thought it was a bug because I can't import the same way on my server yet the online server it works...... (full message at <https://matrix.org/_matrix/med[…]POugzmBaEdtGotMmi>)
20:49 When I build the server I follow the steps in this
20:49 https://www.youtube.com/watch?[…]vslzwu_hU0&t=858s
20:51 davidnind Are there any messages in any of the log files that may help us figure out why the import isn't working?
20:53 If you are able to share a link to your source file and marc file, I can have a go over the weekend to test importing (after installing the same version of Koha you have used).
20:53 cait JasonGreene[m]: and also: which step fails - is the import step hanging in the background jobs or is it something else?
20:54 which version are you testing?
20:54 and best is to follow the steps from the official installation guides linked from the release notes
20:54 davidnind While it is less than ideal, have tried breaking the import file into smaller chunks? (Maybe something with the Apache config causing things to time out)
20:55 I wouldn't be able to look at it today, as I have something on, but can start this evening or on Sunday.
21:02 To me, since you had a successful import on a demo instance, it would seem something is not quite working as it should with you local installation (but this is something I don't have any real expertise in)
21:03 Also, kudos for your perseverance! You have had one challenge after another in trying to get things working! 8-)
21:05 JasonGreene[m] click "Stage for import"  fails... after that the  progress is null/0... (full message at <https://matrix.org/_matrix/med[…]joYHpYBOOqYpcmhvv>)
21:05 cait ok, so we need to figure out why the job hangs
21:05 are you trying to import records with items?
21:07 JasonGreene[m] yes.. exported from an 80's system and modified it for Koha using MarcEdit...
21:07 cait did you import into the demo installation with items too? or just the bibliographic data?
21:08 JasonGreene[m] the import files worked, so I rebuilt the server to import one file at a time and now the import is failing
21:09 ??  during the installation I selected "ALL" options
21:09 libraries, books and patrons
21:10 davidnind I'm also assuming you set up the demo install/your own install with the relevant library codes, item types, and any authorized values you've used in the item data
21:12 cait when you imported the file at adminkuhn, did you select it to import items as well?
21:13 JasonGreene[m] yes on library codes... I had to change the input file to use that data
21:13 952$b952$a942$c952$y952$2650$a245$a100$a082$a952$o952$p
21:14 cait try if you can import the data if you tell it to ignore the items
21:14 so we can limit it
21:14 and you shoudl also have a 000 in your data and a 008
21:14 these are mandatory for marc records
21:16 JasonGreene[m] when I used adminkuhn I did it al the same way
21:16 I dont remember 000
21:16 =LDR  00287nam a2200109Ia 4500
21:16 =008  240226s9999||||xx||||||||||||||||und||
21:16 =082  \$a232.91 Sha
21:16 =100  \$aSharkley  Don
21:16 =245  \4$aThe Woman Shall Conquer
21:16 =650  \$aBlessed Virgin Mary
21:16 =942  \$cBK
21:16 =952  \$bFRL$aFRL$yBK$2ddc $o232.91 Sha$pL000792
21:16 cait LDR is 000, so that's ok
21:17 you are ocnverting the data to .mrc using MarcEdit, right?
21:17 what you could do...
21:18 JasonGreene[m] I'll try the ignore option
21:18 cait that will just help us to limit it to items
21:18 but it could also be a problem with rabbit
21:18 which is the version you are testing with?
21:22 JasonGreene[m] tried it and got the same error "0% Not started"
21:23 cait ok
21:23 not started it not a failed yet
21:23 can you reload?
21:24 JasonGreene[m] tried an mrc and an mrk ... both fail
21:24 cait an mrk will never work
21:25 you need mrc or mrcxml
21:25 JasonGreene[m] ok
21:25 cait what I would try... is restarting koha-common
21:25 and if that doesn't help
21:26 JasonGreene[m] ok, I'll try that... that sounds familiar
21:26 cait tail -f /var/log/koha/instancename/*.log  - and check what is logged when you do the import
21:29 davidnind One thought, with the default frameworks setup for BK, the 040$c field is required - the sample record you shared didn't have that
21:29 cait it should not create an issue on import I think, but something to keep in mind
21:29 JasonGreene[m] I ran  tail -f /var/log/koha/library/*.log | grep import... (full message at <https://matrix.org/_matrix/med[…]lECrkeJoSQfHwzIAc>)
21:30 cait please don't grep
21:30 it can be in another file than import
21:30 just look at what happens with tial -f while you import
21:30 that's just from the access log and not an error - 200 is ok
21:31 JasonGreene[m] tail -f /var/log/koha/library/*.log... (full message at <https://matrix.org/_matrix/med[…]EwjAMHHFMzQgQVvcO>)
21:32 cait ok
21:32 that is interesting
21:32 can you do
21:32 sudo koha-mysql koha_library
21:32 and select * from zebraqueue;
21:32 JasonGreene[m] /var/log/koha/library/plack-api-error.log <==

21:32 cait yes, all those don't look great
21:33 first thing is to check if they really don't exist
21:33 JasonGreene[m] sudo koha-mysql koha_library... (full message at <https://matrix.org/_matrix/med[…]gDdiucmWfVZeCNyAN>)
21:34 cait hm
21:34 when you installed, did you create/remove instances?
21:34 ooh
21:34 sudo koha-mysql library
21:34 JasonGreene[m] rebuilt server
21:34 cait the koha_ is the databsae name prefix
21:35 sorry, that was my fault
21:35 JasonGreene[m] this works
21:35 sudo koha-mysql library
21:35 cait library is your instance, koha_library the database
21:35 and the select  * from zebraqueue?
21:36 JasonGreene[m] ??  select  * from zebraqueue?
21:36 cait sudo koha-mysql library
21:36 should get you into the database prompt
21:36 where you can make sql queries
21:36 the error we saw earlier was complaining about a missing table
21:37 JasonGreene[m] I'm at mysql>  now
21:37 cait we want to see if the table is relal ynot there
21:37 so select * from zebraqueue;
21:37 JasonGreene[m] mysql> select * from zebraqueue;
21:37 Empty set (0.00 sec)
21:38 cait hmm
21:38 can you do a show tables; please?
21:38 and tell me how many
21:38 JasonGreene[m] command ?
21:38 cait show tables;
21:39 JasonGreene[m] 269 rows in set
21:39 cait hm
21:39 it's odd because that#s the number I have too
21:39 describe zebraqueue; ?

21:41 let me restart koha
21:41 cait so it looks alright
21:41 strnge
21:42 JasonGreene[m] does koha have a command or just "shutdown -r now" the server
21:42 cait you can restart the koha-common service
21:42 sudo service koha-common restart maybe
21:42 or something similar
21:45 JasonGreene[m] ok  I ran sudo service koha-common restart and went to the background_jobs and saw this
21:45 Finished3723/3723Staged MARC records for import04/05/2024 14:1404/05/2024 16:4304/05/2024 16:43
21:45 cait hah
21:45 if you haven't yet, try updating to the latest bug fix release of your version sometime
21:45 there were some bug fixes to the background job recenly that might help
21:46 JasonGreene[m] and all the "re-tries" are going through
21:46 cait yeah, it was the jobs hanging
21:46 JasonGreene[m] I'll update my bug
21:46 cait maybe the error about the missing table was an old one
21:47 JasonGreene[m] ok, so after a "re-build" and koha install the server needs to be re-booted
21:47 cait it doesn't hurt I guess
21:48 JasonGreene[m] :-)
21:48 davidnind cait++
21:51 JasonGreene[m] Now, I think I need to start over again because I have tried to import 41 times and a lot of them are "finishing" and working
21:51 cait if they are just staged that's not an issue
21:52 or you can undo the import, if it's the second step already
21:54 JasonGreene[m] ok, there are 41 batches
21:54 cait I mean it' snot unfixable :)
21:56 JasonGreene[m] each batch has an "import this batch into the catalog" button
21:56 cait yeah, so you can just clean the ones you don't need
21:56 and finish import with one
21:57 JasonGreene[m] File name:Flora-2-26-24-1-online-help-edit-mrc.mrc... (full message at <https://matrix.org/_matrix/med[…]ADmzoFiPbgJpKKgjP>)
21:58 in the "Manage staged MARC records" there is a "clean" button
21:58 cait yes
21:59 JasonGreene[m] I don't see anything like a delete or cancel or kill
21:59 cait clean is good
21:59 and then you can delte after
21:59 clean leaves the batch, but removes the records from the staging area
21:59 and then you can delete the batches after
21:59 JasonGreene[m] cool
22:05 Thanks again!!!!
22:07 cait :)
